A Son of Butcher Goes to Hawaii
In the early 1900s, Yong-i, who wanted to learn how to read, went to Hawaii with his parents after learning that they could become rich and study in Hawaii. However, a harsh migrant life waited for them, with endless labor and whipping. Those who had no choice but to leave their home during the Japanese occupation led to the seed of the independence movement.
